Charting Tools¶

Overview¶

Charting tools allow the user to change the plot in any number of ways. After a tool is selected, then the plot is populated. Follow-on actions are generally taken in the Plot.

Add a drawing¶

1. Click on Drawing tools.
2. The drawing tools toolbar will populate on the left hand side of the Plot
3. Select desired tool and begin drawing

Edit or remove a drawing¶

Favorite a chart type¶

1. Click on Chart types
2. Hover over desired type and a star will populate on the left
3. Click on the star and the candle type will populate in the Charting Tools area just to the right of Chart types.

Add an indicator¶

1. Click on Studies & indicators
2. From the dropdown select the desired indicator

Favorite an indicator¶

1. Click on Studies & indicators
2. From the dropdown hover over the desired indicator and a star will populate on the left
3. Click on the star and the selected indicator will populate in the "Favorites" section of the dropdown.
4. The selected indicator will also populate in the Favorites studies button

Create an indicator set¶

1. Add an indicator to the Plot
2. Click on Indicator sets
3. Select "Save Indicator Sets"
4. Follow the prompts
5. The indicator set will now show when Indicator sets is clicked

Delete an indicator set¶

1. Click on Indicator sets
2. Click "x" on the left side of the indicator

Update an indicator set¶

1. Click on Indicator sets
2. From dropdown, select desired indicator set
3. The indicator set will populate in the chart
4. Add or remove indicators as desired
5. Click on Indicator sets
6. Select "Save Indicator Sets"
7. Follow the prompts
8. The new indicator set will now show when Indicator sets is clicked.
9. The old indicator set will still exist. If desired, delete old indicator set.

Display multiple charts¶

1. Click on Templates
2. From the dropdown select the desired chart configuration
3. One or more charts will populate in the plot

Indicator set¶

An indicator set is a group of indicators that will populate on the plot as a group. Indicator sets can only be directly created or deleted. To update, see Update an indicator set.

Template¶

The template determines how many charts the user has on the plot, and how they are arranged. It supports 1 to 16 charts being viewed simultaneously.
